Implemented 2004: Vermont & New York have implemented a reciprocal fishing license acceptance for most of Lake Champlain.

NY license: to the VT shore excluding anything east of the RR fill (Mallets Bay) or anything east of the western shore of Grand Isle / Alburg peninsula or VT tributaries into Lake Champlain

VT license: to the NY shore excluding South Bay or any NY tributaries into Lake Champlain

note: anglers must obey the laws of the state which they are fishing in, so copies of each states regulations will be important due to differences in season dates, creel limits, length etc.
